Switching to amaysim

  1. Check your phone is unlocked and works on the Optus network, because amaysim uses it. Look at the coverage map for the places you live and work.
  2. Keep your number: ask amaysim to move it when you sign up, and don't cancel your old plan first. Your old provider texts a code to confirm, and the move is usually done the same day.
  3. Pay up front: it's prepaid, so you recharge before you start. The smallest first payment is $12 (amaysim 42GB 28-day), then $35 every 28 days.
  4. None of the 7 amaysim plans we track has a lock-in contract, so you can leave without a fee.
  5. eSIM (no plastic SIM) is listed on 7 of 7 plans, so you can switch on the spot with a compatible phone.
  6. Our data says that if your data runs out it stops until the next recharge or month, with no extra charge.
  7. Deal prices are for new services only. Moving your number to this provider counts as new, but check the terms on the plan page.
