Switching to More

  1. Check your phone is unlocked and works on the Telstra network, because More uses it. Look at the coverage map for the places you live and work.
  2. Keep your number: ask More to move it when you sign up, and don't cancel your old plan first. Your old provider texts a code to confirm, and the move is usually done the same day.
  3. Expect a bill, not a recharge: it's postpaid. The smallest first bill is $33 (More 30GB).
  4. None of the 5 More plans we track has a lock-in contract, so you can leave without a fee.
  5. eSIM (no plastic SIM) is listed on 5 of 5 plans, so you can switch on the spot with a compatible phone.
  6. Our data says that if your data runs out it stops until the next recharge or month, with no extra charge.

How the prices line up

Each dot is a plan. Further right means more data a month; higher means a dearer first year. Cheapest $396, dearest $780.

When the monthly data and the data bank run out, mobile data stops until the next billing period unless you buy a data add-on (Critical Information Summary).

More's CommBank offer ($10 a month off for 3 years for eligible CommBank customers) isn't counted: it needs a CommBank card and a 3-year connection.

Fees not counted here: $3.50 a month if you don't pay by direct debit, $22 late payment fee.
